Cruising the Carian Coast – from Mediterranean to Aegean

Sept. 15th-22nd Cruising the Carian Coast: from Mediterranean to Aegean offers a marvellous combination of superb archaeological sites and a remarkably beautiful maritime landscape – a stretch of Turkey’s Turquoise Coast that so far remains mostly untouched by mass tourism and other modern developments. Starting in Göcek, a quiet resort town in a lovely setting on the Gulf of Fethiye this cruise follows the convoluted shoreline of Caria, made up of deep inlets and long peninsulas forming a complex and diverse…

Seven Capes 7 Day Tour

This exciting trek follows the prettiest parts of Turkey’s first ever long-distance footpath – the Lycian Way. The route snakes its way over bare hillsides and through scented pine forests overlooking the blue Mediterranean. It dips down to wonderful hidden beaches where sparkling waves lap smooth sands. We spend the nights at tiny villages where grape vines wreathe the stone cottages. The trek ends at the impressive ruins of Patara, located near one of the finest and whitest beaches of Turkey.

Thanks to your inspiration, back in 2006, Walking and Cruising the Lycian Shore became the first of our…

Pirates Coast Trek (8 days)

This challenging short trek follows the highest and most rugged section of Turkey’s first ever long-distance footpath – the Lycian Way. The route snakes its way above the Mediterranean’s most dramatic coastline of “the Land of Light” Lycia, to the limestone peaks of Mount Olympus, soaring high above the glittering sea. It descends through shady wooded valleys along a 4-km beach past the ruins of the Lycian city of Olympus. It finishes at the spectacular isolated lighthouse on the ridge of Cape Gelidonia.
