I continue to work on cultural routes not only in the field but also in the academia. I have prepared resources for both tourist guides to specialize in this field and for guide candidates to have information about cultural routes. In addition, there are many academic papers related to cultural routes in the world\u00a0 very few contributions from Turkey. We are trying to contribute to the literature from Turkey. When the Lycian Way was first marked, I started my master’s degree as one of volunteers. First my thesis was the Lycian Way, then I was a Lycian Way walker. Afterwards, I had the opportunity to experience Evliya \u00c7elebi Route, St. Paul Way, K\u00fcre Mountains, Yenice Forests, Between Two Seas and Misia Routes.<\/p>\n

In my doctoral dissertation, I created the Mimar Sinan Route. Although it is not known yet, its academic infrastructure is ready. I hope it will be one of the important routes in the coming years. In order to contribute to tourist guides and candidates to be one of their areas of specialization, I tried to contribute to a national international book section, whose links I have shared below, and to many international articles and cultural routes with scientific data. I also wrote about Kate Clow’s life and the origin story of cultural routes in the book «Turizme Kanat Geren Kad\u0131nlar».<\/p>\n

The fact that people who could not understand why we walked 20 years ago have been walking in recent years, earning economic gain from this business, and most importantly, contributing to the local is one of my experiences that make me the most happy. However, when we always say sustainability, the landscapes we encounter on the routes are depressing. Our wish and effort is to raise individuals who possess natural intelligence and comply with the ethical codes of creation. As a tourism academician who spent 24 years experiencing tourism in 50 countries, of course, I would very much like the cultural routes to become known. However, I invite selfie tourists who leave their mark without protecting nature from themselves, to learn the manners of the route or to enjoy different types of tourism.<\/p>\n
