In various cities and towns along the route there are hotels and guesthouses in the villages. As not all villages have guesthouses, it’s good to have your own tent. In all cases, a sleeping bag at least is needed in most guesthouses and village accommodation.
The village headman called the “muhtar” can help with many things including information for your trek and find a place to sleep and even receive a stamp for your your Sufi Trail Parende passport.
The villages are on average f 5 to 8 kilometre apart. Most villages have a tea house (cay evi), and some also have a grocery store. Make sure you have enough food for one or two days in the case that the village you’re staying with does not have a tea house or grocercy store. Please check the book for villages without grocery stores.
In regards to your homestay in villages and towns, it is normal to donate (15-30 euro) for your stay and food. If the families do not want to take your money when they invite you, you can give the children a small gift or the equivalent of money for a family stay.
