Guide books in English are available from our website Trekking in Turkey. The new English guidebook was released in Dec 2022. It is currently being translated to Turkish.
Books are also available from our office in Antalya or our field base in Sidyma. Please call before you come.

Open Street Map and Mobile Applications

The Lycian Way changes frequently for various reasons (new roads, quarries, building, land purchase, landslides, etc, etc.). The complete updated Lycian Way route (with reference numbers to the section of the new guide book) is shown on Open Street Map (OSM); we keep OSM regularly updated. You can check the latest state of the route on OSM through a map on this link .
All apps which use OSM or its variants such as Open Cycle Map should show the latest state of the route, but we recommend OSMand, which is the official OSM app. Hiiker is also almost correct. The following apps do NOT show the latest state of the trail: Alltrails, Trailsmart, Outdoor Active, Mapy.cz, and many others (we can’t check them all!). If you use one of these apps, please ask the app makers to update according to OSM! We also don’t recommend Wikiloc, which has many versions of the Lycian Way, all of them out-of-date.
If you want to load your tracks to a favourite app (we like locus, but also gaia, etc), please ask us for the latest GPX or KML tracks. We supply tracks to people who have bought the book.
